1. Objectives of the Practice :
All Ayurveda students should able to read the original sanskrit text of Charak Samhitas.
To understand deep and subtle meanings and accurate pronunciations of the words, sentences and chapters in depth of Samhitas.
To understand the applied aspect of Samhita more precisely.
2. The Context :
The original texts of Ayurveda are in sanskrit language and in summarized form (Shloka form). It makes harder for students to understand the fundamentals of Ayurveda just by reading the translation. Hence this workshop was initiated for reading and understanding the Samhitas thoroughly. The aim of workshop was to make students realize the applied aspects of original text in practice.
3. The Practice :
The workshop was planned for 5 day on 22/08/2022 to 27/08/2022 and it was planned as online webinar as well as workshop. Syllabus covered was 10 chapters of Chikitsa Sthana. Every day in the morning session from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm, Charaka Samhita Wachan of chapter’s 11 to 20 of Chikitsa sthana was conducted.
After reading session, brief summary was delivered by Samhita departmant faculties on respective chapters.
Quiz competation was conducted on 25/08/2022 for UG, PG students on Charak Chikistasthan 13 to 17. The online guest lectures were arranged between 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm.
Total 5 expert lectures were conducted and recorded lectures were also shared via Google drive link for future reference.
Five experts Vd. Chinmay Phondekar, Vd. Shrirang Galgali, Vd. Milind Rampurkar, Vd. Neelesh Patil, Vd. Veerdhaval Patil elaborated the practical aspects of Pandu, Grahani, Pranvaha Strotas-Hikka, Shwas, Kasa, Arsha roga chikitsa along with cases. All the participants were blessed with excellent knowledge. Feedbacks were taken from participants.
4. Evidence of Success :
A huge response to this webinar was received from participants. Total registration number was 395 for the event; including UG, PG students, teachers and practitioners from 8 different states of the India.
